About me
Hi, I’m Jem - fermenter, Japanese cook, and permaculture designer based in Berlin. Raised in London with Japanese roots, I’ve always craved umami and bold new flavours. Through Fischtal Foodlab, I share my passion for fermentation and Japanese cuisine with fellow Berlin food enthusiasts. For me, food is all about bringing people together — sharing something delicious, discovering new things, and enjoying each other’s company.
